Payment and Reimbursement
The Integrative Health Center of Chapel Hill is home to many independent providers in medicine and complementary therapies. Some practitioners accept insurance plans; others require full payment at the time of service. Be see below for details:
Medical Doctors accepting Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Medicare are the following doctors:
Dr. Tracy Meyers, Family Medicine for Women, Men and Children
Dr. Raghu Ballal, Internal Medicine for adults 18 years and older
Dr. Remy Coeytaux, Integrative Medicine Consults
For these doctors, you need only pay your co-payment amount, if any. If you are covered by an insurance company other than Blue Cross/Blue Shield, you must pay for your visit at time of service, but as a courtesy, we will file your insurance claim for direct reimbursement to you.
Psychotherapist Eric Garland accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He does not accept Medicare (clients will need to pay in full).
Complementary therapies at the Center require full payment at the time of service. You will be given a service receipt for your records or to file with your insurance company. Depending on your particular health insurance plan, complementary services such as medical nutrition consultations, acupuncture, mind-body therapies or massage, may or may not be covered. Please contact your insurance plan administrator to know what to expect.
Integrative Health Center of Chapel Hill accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Checks are very much appreciated, as they help keep our processing costs down.
