Jason is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. His areas of focus include:
- Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, compulsive over-eating etc.)
- Addiction recovery (both substances and behavioral addictions)
- Anxiety/stress management
- Depression/feelings of hopelessness

Jason received an M.S. from the University of Oregon in Couples and Family Therapy. He has worked as a lead therapist/assistant clinical director at higher levels of care for people struggling with eating disorders and he has spent time in a general outpatient clinic with individuals, couples, and families presenting with a variety of concerns. Jason also holds a Masters in Teaching from UNC and 5 years of high school teaching experience in Durham, so he feels very comfortable working with adolescents and leading groups. His style is compassionate, yet direct and transparent. He views problematic behaviors as coping mechanisms for underlying stressors/emotional experiences that need processing. Jason loves to help clients identify and break harmful patterns of behavior and work towards a healthier, more sustainable balance that improves their lives.
In Network Insurance and Appointment Fees:
Jason will soon be in network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Until then, he can only accept cash pay clients. Clients with other insurance plans are welcomed but will need to pay in full at the time of service and are responsible for filing for potential out-of-network reimbursement. An encounter form will be provided at each appointment. Clients with out-of-network plans should check with their insurance plans for knowledge of their individual coverage.

*Fee is for hour-long sessions. Please inquire about sliding scale options/student rate for payment, if fee is prohibitive.
Appointment Schedule:
Tuesdays: 1:00-7:00pm
Fridays: 8:00am-12:00pm
24 Hour Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment time. There is a $50 charge for cancellations made less than 24 hrs. in advance. Insurance will not cover missed appointments.
